that if it was an official vote I would vote edward over jacob.

Just finished the book today... I found it mostly boring... It took me forever to read and as a result it postponed the time I got to spend on another book which I would have liked to read more. But I have an obligation to my blog readers to critic New Moon.

Some think that the beginning is SO sad... I do not. I found that the way bella acted was pathetic and was almost overly dramatized. I got what stephenie wanted to portray and where she was going with it but come on. It made the book longer and it bored me. It sadly took up the whole book!!! the only good thing about the first wasted 400 pages is it gave more insight into Jacob sparking an added factor to the twilight series.

Then you have the climax... another disappointmenting climax... if you remember my last blog on twilight then you remember what I thought of the first one. I believed it was skipped. That it truly had no climax. This time I thought that the climax wasn't the type of climax that I as a reader wanted. Look at it from my eyes, thus far the whole book has been complete waste. Nothing but oh Im sad, jacob is so nice, I wanna hear edwards voice. No action. And these books are supposed to be a mix of action and romance. Therefore the Climax should had some sort of action pacted fight or run for there lives before the Vulcari caught them. Instead we got more romance. The most action was Bella running to save Edward, not very much. And that was done to set up the romance to follow. No real action.

Now to the good parts of the book. The book ended farely solid I thought. Good rap up of all the plot line (though that easy to do when the plot line is as dull as this ones was). The best part of this book is it continues the mystery that surrounds this series. The only reason I'm going to continue reading is because I wanna know more about why none of the special powers work on her. What will her power be when she turns? (I know she will have one) I also want to know more about the Vulcari. This books mystery was the only good thing about it.

As for the real issue.... Jacob or Edward... I vote Jacob. Over all I like vampires better, they are so much more refined and I think head on head a vampire would win in a fight. and I had a choice I wouldn't sleep either. But I picked Jacob because, (and I realize that their relationship isn't real) Bella's and Edward's relationship is based soli on obsession and lust. Bella is way to obsessesed with Edward. And dont give me that they are in love crap. The way Bella reacts is nothing but obsession. I think that its due some sort of need for edward and once bella is a vampire she should lose that. If it were my books I would make that happen she looses that he is so pretty feeling she gets, her heart stops not breathing every time they kiss. Futhermore if it were my series I would make her go back to Jacob after she looses interest in Edward it would be a classic enemies fall in love ending(meaning werewolves and vampires being enemys not Bella and Jacob). But thats just me. therefore I like Edward more as a person he reminds me more of myself but I think Jacob is better for Bella. If it were a fair fight and Edward didn't have the stupid vampire pull he has on Bella jacob would obviously win.

that there is nothing like a brownie to make you want some milk

Today a question as serious as any was brought up. What is the difference between a cake and a brownie. I understand that there is a fine line but I would like to know where this fine line has been drawn. After the question was brought up by a friend of mine and some brain storming took place. We decided that there are certain factors that one must consider.

1. the vessel it was cooked in. obviously a cake is thicker than a brownie.

2. the ingredients. I was shocked but I found out that some don't consider a brownie to be a brownie unless it has pudding. just like I said adds density and a wetness.

3. the texture. a cake would be more airy, I believe, than the denser brownie. A brownie would also be more moist

4. the frosting or lack there of. I actually do not believe that brownies should have frosting. First of all the denseness of a brownie and the frosting would make a true brownie to heavy and its not traditional.... but maybe this is to trivial.

I looked at this after I wrote this and just add it in as a footnote but note that I was close with the 3 thing.

According to Kevin Weeks: "The critical difference is that brownies are unleavened-- they contain no baking powder or soda. The lacking of leavening, and minimal amounts of flour results in a denser, chewy bar."

that thanksgiving is over it makes me sad

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Its true most of it has to do with the food but I believe its the only uncorrupted holiday. There are no presents or unneeded characters. (like Santa or the Easter bunny). Thanksgiving is all about family and spending time with one another, its for giving thanks for having a wonderful family for being fortunate to join year after year. That's what the holidays are all about but all the other holidays have lost that. Instead its about presents and sale pitches. Its sad, but at least there is that last holiday which stands for what all the holidays used to stand for and that is thanksgiving.

that Im immune to the Twilight saga hype

Everyone is getting syked for the new twilight movie NEW MOON. I have actively tried to stay away for so long. Those books turned into a pathetic addiction for so many people. I wanted it to die down before I started lest my thoughts would be curved by the typical views of other people.

I havent seen either movie. But I have seen bits and pieces of the first and let me tell you it looks like the worst film ever. For that reason I don't think the next one can be that good. I don't know maybe a new director could have changed it and a new budget but since the first one had terrible acting the 2nd one has to have the same terrible actors. I will have to watch them and see if my suspicions are correct. But the main cause of this blog post was not about the movies seeing as I have not yet watched them I shouldn't judge.

I would therefore like to turn the attention to the books. I have read the first... and I find the romance in it to be very very good... of course that isn't my area of expertise... I tend to read suspense and mystery, therefore I would probably be a better judge on that side of things. That being said I would have to say that the first twilight novel though a lil over the top and corny and cheesy for me was also the best romance novel I have ever read. Of course I think I have only read two... I do like how well Stephenie Meyer describes what Bella feels and how she describes Edward. Very good description. Though even he very good depiction of there feelings got very boring. That is where she had to bring in a little bit of suspense. She tried pulled of one thing that very few authors can do. A good balance of romance and suspense... she didn't achieve her goal in book 1. The climax was skipped, skipped I say. She didnt have a climax... Her prologue was more exciting than her middle plot excitement. she should have had Edward swoop in and save her or some kind of epic run away scene that shows the scared feelings of Bella and joy that the hunter would get from the hunt. I will have to post again after the next book and watching the movies. I should do more critic blogs this was fun!

comment your thoughts I know there will be a lot of pissed twilight fans out there.

that running in a marathon is scary

I have thought about running in a marathon, and planned to do so with my uncle. But this news story scared me a little bit.

3 people died in the Detroit marathon... jeez I didn't know that could happen, one of them was as young as 26! They were all unconnected from different parts of the US and they died at different parts of the race from seemingly different things. Some are saying that one fell down and hit his head which is scary for a race and unfortunately I believe it could happen if you get in the fast rougher crowd, others are saying that they died of heart attacks which is scary but I think it is unlikely. It was only a half marathon though it was hot I doubt heart failure can occur that fast.

This is bad news for marathons though. We will definitely see a drop in marathon attendances. I personally will not shy away but I can understand if people do. But of course we all don't have to run until we die... you could just give up.......

that "Grant is back... back again Grant is back Grant is back Grant is back"

I hope you got the slim shady song line.

The point is that I am finally back. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post but I have also been getting back to school. (I will have more posts on that later) It seems to me that there has been much fewer blog posts among the people I follow so I guess it is just a busy time all around.

Even though i have sorta been taking this time off I am happy to report that i have been thinking of great topics and i plan to do alot of sweet ones. Sorry for not posting for so long and then giving you this miniscule sorry post to make up for it but I promise that the time off was not in vain and i will make up for it.

that the chances of having natural triplets is about 1 in 8100 but "man made" big chick triplets seems to be much more likely

Watching National treasure book of secrets I caught a fact that I have never heard before. There are three lady liberties. New York doesn't feel so special now... kinda wants to take that of its NY quarter. Actually Pari has 1 up on New York. Paris has 2 whilst New York sits with one. (We aren't considering that pathetic remake in Las Vegas although that would make 4). The most popular one and the biggest recedes in New York however it wasn't the first one made. The first one made ironically is the least popular luxembourg Gardens in Paris. It was just a lil try out cast, I guess, made to start the planning for the big show. The 2nd most popular was given to The french from the U.S. It was sort of a re-gift a really big expensive re gift... Come on America be more creative than that. The United States present wasn't even as big and extravagant as the French's its weight was like 1/4th that of the French's present.

i wont bore you to long... here are some facts about the NY one if you're interested take a look real fast just glance i don't expect you to read the whole thing.

(its hard to find facts on the other ones)

(heartfelt voice) that if i could just touch one persons life then i know that... im pathetic

We hear this phrase very often "if i can just touch one person then i know that what i have done is worth it." This is pathetic people. I guess its ok if you are saying that to a very specific task like feeding some poor people at a soup supper one time. But if you volunteer at this soup supper regularly you should have touched a couple more people than one. Anyone can touch or help one person actually i bet every one does. Like the hobos, beggars if you will, that just drink away all that they get anyway. Even they most likely average one affected person a-day. Their is always that person that thinks hmm... i really don't want to turn out like that.

I'm ranting about this because a school teacher was talking to someone on the radio and she said that if she could just help one kid find a better life for themselves or inspire one kid then it all was worth it. Come on... jeez... I don't know how many kids you teach, this is a rough estimate of my school, if the teacher works for only 20 years and she teaches 30 kids a year she will have taught 600 students. If she only inspires one of those students that's a terrible percentage. That's like a cop that lets 599 people die and saves one but its ok because he believes that he saves one person then his whole life was worth it. I give you credit for going out to inspire but you can do better than one kid. Everyone doesn't want to die thinking they didn't make a difference if you set out every day saying It is worth my living if i can inspire one person to change how they live their lives TODAY.

that my family is weird. At least their vocab. is

opening story: When i was a real youngin' maybe 5 just full of every kind of knowledge... I needed something to go with my hot dog... we had apples oranges grapes bannanas... I knew exactly what i needed... if the fancy people could have it at their fancy little parties i would have one to... i made myself a fancy fruit delay... i thought thats what it was called in reality it was just a plater full of sliced up fruit and now that im older i know that that isnt what its proper name is and i dont even think that fancy people ate them at their fancy fancy people get togethers... but that day i walked into my living room with that fruit delay and i acted like a fancy waiter showing off my fruit dish. Even today a fruit plater in our house (regardless of its real name that i dont even know) is still called a fruit delay.

We have tons of words with stories like that... the brother that is older than me went to school calling hamburgers hankaburgers just because jeb my younger brother called them hankaburgers and my family instead of dampining his self esteem adopted his wording for a while and my family also called them hankaburgers. I bet that was embarressing... but when you get used to saying it. it just slips out.

There are many different names for the tv remote. My family has one of the weirdest names for it. We call it the channel flipper. Idk why we call it that thats what my father has always said and we cant fight it now its deeply implanted in our minds.

I would like to know what kind of strange names or phrases your family has (especially for the channel flipper) just post a comment or send me an email. I want to know if my family really is that weird does any one no what a fruit delays real name is.

that mommys and daddys should let their kids to cuss if they want them to be happy

In the Omaha world herald (newspaper out of Nebraska not a big deal) in this paper fronts page was an article about an experiment done by a group of British scientists. In this experiment subjects of both sexes put their hands into unpleasantly warm water. When the pain became high enough they were told to scream out such profane word that would make mother Teresa roll over in her grave. During the next torture session they were told to scream out none offensive cuss words such as cheese and rice or muther fugger. After the two rounds the scientists found that the inappropriate rants were slightly more affective than the saint swearing.

This makes me wonder why, how does that make them feel better. I hope i can explain this... maybe we all have a weapon arsenal... an f bomb is like a nuke we only use it when absolutely necessary but it will give us immediate victory (comfort). Made up none sense is like what we keep trying to do to Afghanistan... send in troops that slow down the advancement but dont fix the problem... or at least it takes awhile. We cant just nuke everything however or we get a mouth full of soap. So there is my theory give me yours post a comment.

that batman could beat the transformers back to what ever stupid planet they came from

I have heard from a somewhat biased source that transformers 2 may soon over take the dark knight in the box office sales. If you're like me you are freaking out right now. Don't worry it turns out it is actually not true which is good because when asked I will pick dark knight as one of the best movies ever.

After looking it up i fear no more $9,630.6 is the dark knights gross whilst transformers still sets at a meesily $5,756.3

What started out as a simple dont waste your money on that stupid movie blog as quickly turned into a blog on dark knights superiority. dark knight has been beat by one movie in total tickets sold every year since 1996... dam thats how long its been since the NL has beat the AL in the All star game... thats rediculous and a terrible crime it would seem to me. However i have figured it all out first of all the recession hit... The dark knight didnt do much advertising a big mistake... (transformers did alot of advertising... the most ever... and though the movie got bad reviews compared to other movies of these last 365 days it still has the number two spot on that chart. Right after the dark knight)... lastly the dark knight isn't a family movie not really ok for the children because of that their sales suffered the same happened to alot of the great movies)

that goobledegook is just fine

sorry stevyn of The Unbearable Oddness of Stevyn whom just wrote a blog intitled Ready Shreddy Go but i disagree goobledegook in moderation is just fine. This blog was about simple english compared to the more complecated goobledegook english as he called it. I think the language type he is most conserned with is the legal papers talk or the instruction manual lingo. In that regard i agree things could be a lil less complicated. But in moderation i believe goobledegook is english. English doesnt have to be dumbed down. People are smart enough they dont need easy reading. I would like to think that people who actual like reading would much more enjoy a challenging read with complicated tough wording more that a spoon feed the meaning of the sentence type of wording.

I consider Complex writing to be art. It makes it more poetic. Ergo it is poetic art that through its complexity it can spark true thinking and cause people to have to think in new ways. That complexity of wording creates flexibility for the reader. Some will be pulled deeply into the story. Feeling the stress of the story or gain a feeling that they can smell the smell that the poet so eliquently describes. In that complicated wording there is so much detail that can truly bring the story out. In that complete detail some things may be over looked. Through this i believe that we see what stimulates each individual readers attention. This is a small peak into their intrests and personality. Those that miss one thing maybe cant imagin that detail like others can. This is the 2nd way it challenges us. It makes you not only become a better reader it helps you mentally imagine things better.

Writers need to fight against any rebel group that brings forth an uprising against the freeness in which we write. No one understands that freedom like the writers. I mean people no one tells the painters not to paint what they feel, or to make it more normal so its easier to be understood by the people who happen to be admiring it.

Readers if you dont want to think about what your reading... dont read that... find something you can be interested in, understand maybe you can work your way up. Please dont try to make it easier on yourself. Watch a movie same thing less imagination and brain function. But readers your not dumb you can read the good stuff that is the goobledegook.

(probably not what you were rebelling against stevyn but i just dont want the beautiful english that shows the greatness that can come out of literacy to be dumbed down)

(i hate instruction manuals and legal forms the same as the next man however, they do it simply for the detail i talked about earlier however if they could simplify it without loosing that important detail i am all for it)

that will power is the best super power in the world

I have ran alot this week more than i have in a long time. As with any long distance runner i know what true will power is and what it can do. through this i have gained a certain respect for those with alot of will power.

A certain some one really showed some will power today. It occured at weights on this day of july 9. she had just gone through what must have been a gruling basketball camp. During which she hurt her shoulder (or arm). She told me about this and judging by how she held her arm and showed extra care towards it i knew she was telling the truth. i thought she would just sit out and get an easy show up X. we happened to be lined up right next to each other whilst warming up, and when it came time for pushups i thought surely the sitting out would begin. But instead she struggled and i meaned struggled she pulled of 7 out of 10 not bad at all and they were still quality push ups... good job and my respect goes out to you today hurt arm girl. (i continued to watch sorta and she did most of her lifts for the day even a couple arm lifts)

i think i will use some will power and start blogging really often with this blog maybe i can do one a day but itll be tough

i have started this new blog its still under some construction but "it has begun"... i planned to have started it on july 4th because, that is the day my country the US of A started and i wanted my blog to begin on the same day. I thought this would be pretty cool... however it was not to be...
